Heal Yourself

Heal yourself

Aging has many advantages and by maintaining positivity and distracting the opposite, you need to have a strategy for the period when retirement comes before you. After adjusting the transition from a daily routine to the question of what to do with yourself in the morning, the need arises to get organized and get busy.

The other change that is perhaps most dramatic is the slow progression of fatigue over the years and the realization that it is more difficult to perform simple tasks. Before I continue, I respect some people who are very sick and need constant help.

Let me explain, I’m pre-NHS… I was actually thirteen years old when it was set up at nineteen forty-eight. To call a doctor before that time, the cost was, on average, similar to a week’s salary and hospital time was out of the question. I do not regret that part of my life – in fact in some opposite ways.

Why? Because someone has developed a strong immune system. I remember lying on a bed of miserable souls, suffering from a heavy dose of chickenpox, with my chest choked in itchy tumuli and my grandmother saying they could do nothing, and I would pass it . And I did.

It was the same with cuts and scratches, there was no need for medical attention and in due time we healed from self-confidence and maybe the only effect would be a scar.

Yes, I strongly believe in self-healing as the human body is a wonderful machine and capable of taking care of itself. This is what it does, perhaps with a little help from us and the medical profession.

Here in Spain, about five years ago, the ‘Hondon Writers’ Circle’ was formed and one of the former members was Sarah Dawkins, a holistic health coach, who at the time had begun with a vision of a healing book. I think she was looking for encouragement to fulfill her dream, which the writers’ circles are talking about. I’m not saying we had a connection to the content of the finished article because we did not.

Sarah Dawkins is a registered nurse, with many other qualifications in her name – her dream came true when, after years of research and hard work, she published the completed ‘Heal Yourself’ article available through Amazon, in June of this year, which within a few days went to the top of the Amazon list and is now published in three languages with more to follow.

Sarah’s book is about what the title says, she had researched and found people who had cured themselves of a serious illness, describing how they achieved it. It is well written and examines seventy-five case histories.

In my opinion, the health and safety decisions made by pharmaceutical companies have a lot to do with A&E, in that over the years they have instilled fear in people’s minds that the body needs extra support for a little more simple. scratch to be better.

The constant appearance on TV of various detergents, which are actually a variation of bleach and other cleaning products, to make the house completely clean, in my opinion, is above all, so the first little germ that creeps – the disease, because the immune function of the body does not recognize it as it is not learned.

If this is too simple, let’s look at it another way.

Butter, a natural product, has been used in most households for many years, certainly before margarine came into being, which I am told is a lesser ingredient than plastic. And yet, with smart PR, butter melted away and sales of other products soared. Coincidentally we did not trust the hips and continued with the natural yellow spread and had no side effects.

Of course, since we are all different, maybe butter is bad for some people. But what about salt and sugar? We all need these in our diet, but we are warned that they are bad for people – but is it possible that they are bad because we are told they are and consequently the body rejects them. Honestly, I could not have had my chips without a liberal dose of salt and three tablespoons of granulated sugar in my tea. Oh, and by the way, I’m in my late eighties, have a clear head and write a column every week.

Why dwell on what I believe is fiasco over butter. People have been eating meat since the beginning of time, and now we have groups that suggest it is bad for you. Leaving this aside, there are billions of sheep in the world and they graze very happily in fields and meadows.

Ah! But we are all convinced to give up meat and eat plants – now I do not think for a moment that we will be able to eat as much as woolen things, and therefore the fields will be filled with grass growing outside control. especially when beef is not served at the dinner table.

However, since these animals grow differently from us, they will have to be slaughtered to keep the numbers low, otherwise we will have masses of cows, sheep, goats and other animals pouring out of the crowded fields, blocked highways and side roads. , and as I understand it, livestock are responsible for a large amount of carbon in the air, which would make the proposed climate change a foolishness.

As always, pressure groups and others looking to change the world need to be very careful with what they want – the result could very well be something they had not considered. Take care
