CBD and honey are known for their anti-inflammatory qualities — so the icon Beyoncé is harnessing their power for the well-being of her and her family.

If there is anyone we hope to imitate, it should be the queen herself, Beyonce.

And while the blockage can make us feel like “making lemonade” through the streets with a baseball bat, Beut’s blocking rituals were actually much calmer.

Tip: verrrry relaxed.

Speaking of Harper’s Bazaar, she says, “During quarantine, I went from redundancy to creating positive rituals drawn from past generations and putting my spin on things.”

“I discovered CBD on my last tour and experienced its benefits for pain and inflammation. It helped me with my restless nights and the agitation that comes from not being able to sleep.”

“I have found healing properties in honey that benefit me and my children. And now I’m building a hemp farm and a honey. I even have hives on my roof! And I am very happy that my daughters will have the example of those rituals from me. ”

You have heard well – directly from her mouth to your ears – hemp and honey have been the key to her (and her family’s) well-being.

Why? You may ask.

In fact there is a lot of research suggesting that they can do wonders for the body.

CBD

CBD or cannabidiol is approved for use in Australia and is actually available for purchase in low doses online. It comes from the cannabis plant and is natural. If you want a higher dose of CBD, you will need to talk to a doctor.

Dr. Vicki Kotsirilos is a general practitioner and practitioner of integrative medicine. She became the first authorized Australian medical cannabis practitioner in 2019.

“It comes from the cannabis plant, so it happens naturally,” she told Body + Soul.

She says there are two main ingredients in cannabis – THC and CBD. It’s the THC part of cannabis – not CBD – that makes you ‘high’. The best part is that CBD can be used for a variety of reasons, including relieving pain, stopping nausea, anxiety and inflammation.

Alsoshte also with very low risk.

“In my experience it is relatively safe,” Dr. Kotsirilos says of CBD oil. “With CBD oil alone, it is very rare to see side effects, but there are people who are really sensitive.” She says people who are really sensitive may feel a little irritated when they use it.

But what about honey?

Raw honey (read: not necessarily what is in toast) has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties that can help with common issues such as wound healing and sore throat.

In fact, in 1999 the Aussie honey company Capilano registered MEDIHONEY with the Therapeutic Goods Administration to sell products for specific health reasons.

In the years since then, many brands have incorporated both hemp and honey into wellness products – and this is especially true in the beauty industry.

Only at Adore Beauty, some of their main hemp and honey products are:

It seems that Queen Bey is not alone in her passion for these natural ingredients.

Along with the new obsession with honey and hemp, she is really getting back to basics, away from trendy diets and towards a holistic approach to her well-being.

“In the past, I spent a lot of time on diets, with the misconception that taking care of myself means exercising and being overly aware of my body. My health, the way I feel when I wake up in the morning, my peace of mind. “The number of times you smile, the way I nourish my mind and body – these are the things I’m focused on,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

“Mental health is also caring for myself. I’m learning to break the cycle of poor health and neglect, concentrating my energy on my body and considering the subtle signs it gives me. Your body tells you everything you need to know. “But I had to learn to listen. It’s a process of changing habits and seeing the passage of the bag of chips and chaos everywhere!”
